About NuVasive Wear Testing Platform
Produce a motion platform capable of linear, X-Y motion to simulate friction.
Platform must withstand loads applied during a wear test.
The system should integrate with NuVasive’s existing testing equipment.
Accommodate various instrument types, shapes, and sizes.
Our design can be broken down into 3 large components: the motor system, the motion platform, and instrument attachments. The broad idea of the system is to utilize threaded rods on stepper motors to produce x-y motion of the platform. This system will attach to the base of the electropuls test frame, and the pegboard will attach the instruments for testing.
